Systems Engineer

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking for a new contract opportunity? We currently have a requirement based in Canberra but could also consider a remote worker with adhoc travel for an initial 6-month contract. This role will work within the SATCOM domain of Defence and be responsible for conducting detailed design and development of engineering documentation.

Due to the nature of this project candidates will require an active NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performed Verification & Validation of Power, Communications and IT equipment
• Derive system requirements, define the test requirements and participate in system design and system requirements reviews
• Provided Engineering guidance for maintenance teams across Australia
• Assisted engineering and production teams with system testing and technical troubleshooting
• Development of engineering documentation
• Conduct requirements analysis

Skills & Experience required:

• Bachelor of Engineering
• Experience with design and development of electronic systems within a Defence environment
• Experience with SATCOM / Communication systems
• Firm understanding of design definition, design development and verification
• Knowledge of Defence project life cycle
• Meet ITAR compliancy
